Lakeside sets summer concert series schedule

LAKESIDE-MARBLEHEAD — Established in 1963, the Lakeside Symphony Orchestra has provided generations with experiences of orchestral music, guest artists, productions and performances that span from being a first introduction to the orchestra to a time-honored tradition with family and friends. Today more than 80 professional musicians from across the country gather in Lakeside for a short summer residency from late July to early August. Here's a look at this season's summer concert series schedule with all events taking place at Hoover Auditorium in Lakeside Chautauqua: • 7:30 p.m. July 26 — The Music of Billy Joel with Jeans 'n Classics • 7 p.m., July 30 — Family Night in Hoover: Concert with Ran Dank on piano; There will also be an instrument discovery for kids event from 5:30-6:30 p.m. • 7:30 p.m., Aug. 1 — Concert with Janice Cariss on piano • 7:30 p.m., Aug. 5 — Concert with Chelsea Guo, soprano and on piano • 7:30 p.m., Aug. 8 — Concert with Tessa Lark on violin Additionally, before each concert, there will be pre-concert talks and special events taking place on the grounds of Lakeside Chautauqua.
