PHOTOS: A cool Cold Creek celebration

CASTALIA — On Friday, many people came out to the first of a three-day festival celebrating Castalia, Cold Creek and, above all, community. Hundreds of people traversed in and around Main Street where they enjoyed many family-friendly activities, listened to live entertainment, scarfed down tasty fair-style foods and caught up with friends. A large crowd also gathered for the pageant, witnessing and cheering on Gracie Lee, who became this year's queen. The Castalia Cold Creek Celebration continues this weekend. Most events happen in and around Main Street. Some do occur at the duck pond, while the softball tournament takes place from nearby Lions Park.
