Port Clinton will add 5 to its Athletic Hall of Fame

Port Clinton High School will add five new faces to its Athletic Hall of Fame this fall. PC recently announced its 2025 hall of fame class, which will be recognized September 19 at a home football game. Induction ceremonies will take place Saturday, Sept. 20 at the Catawba Island Club. Advance ticket purchase is required, and ticket sale information will be announced at a later date. Those who will be inducted: Sean Black, Class of 2013: Black earned 10 varsity letters at PCHS in golf, bowling and baseball. He was 2nd Team All-SBC in golf in his junior and senior years and a member of SBC championship teams during his junior and senior years. In bowling, he continues to hold multiple school records, was the SBC Most Outstanding Performer as a senior, and was All-Ohio as a junior. Jason Cellier (2007): Cellier earned eight varsity letters at Port Clinton in basketball and tennis. He concluded his tennis career with 99 wins, the fourth most in program history at graduation. He was a 3-time SBC champion, 3-time sectional champion, district qualifier and a state qualifier as a senior. On the basketball court, Cellier was All-SBC and All-District as a sophomore and senior. He shot 50% from the 3-point line as a sophomore, the highest in the state of Ohio in the 2004-05 season. Derek Colston (2011): Colston graduated from PCHS with 11 varsity letters. He finished with 137 hits as a Redskins baseball player, the 3rd most in program history. He had six hits in one game, tying a state record at the time. Derek was All-SBC all four years of high school and was All-District as a junior and senior. He was a starter on the 2010 Division II state runner-up basketball team and was named to the 2010 All-State Tournament Team. He was All-SBC and All-Northwest District in football his senior year. Derek earned four varsity letters in baseball at Capital University and was OAC All-Academic all four years. Tiffany Colston Horne (2014): Colston Horne earned 11 varsity letters in volleyball, tennis, basketball and softball. She was a 4-year starter on the girls basketball team, finishing with 1,071 career points, which ranks in the top 10 in school history. She was All-SBC her sophomore, junior and senior years. Tiffany was All-District as a junior and senior, All-Northwest District as a senior and All-Ohio as a senior. On the tennis courts, she was All-SBC as a sophomore, junior and senior, and All-Northwest District as a junior and senior. In softball, Tiffany was All-SBC her senior year. Cheyenne Meek Nixon (2014): Meek Nixon graduated from PCHS with seven varsity letters in swimming, cross country and track & field. She was All-SBC in cross country as a freshman and sophomore, but it was in swimming where she excelled, holding five SBC and school records and three district records at graduation. Meek Nixon was SBC Most Outstanding Performer as a junior and senior. She qualified for the state meet in 16 events over her four years of high school, earning All-Ohio honors all four years. She continued her swimming career at Ohio State University, earning four varsity letters and All-Big 10 honors as a junior. She qualified for USA Junior Nationals, USA Winter Nationals and USA Olympic Trials.
