Boardwalk Nights is back at Cedar Point

SANDUSKY — Cedar Point is turning up the heat this summer with the return of Boardwalk Nights, a signature event celebrating the park's coastal heritage with nightly entertainment, games, food and fireworks along its iconic beach and boardwalk. Running nightly from Friday, July 18 through Aug. 17 (excluding Tuesdays), Boardwalk Nights immerses guests in the nostalgia and energy of a classic beach boardwalk with a modern twist. Each evening kicks off at 7 p.m. with the Grand Opening Boardwalk Cavalcade, featuring stage floats and costumed characters like Ms. Popcorn and Ms. Cotton Candy. Guests can enjoy live music from acts including the Boardwalk Brigade, the soulful SeaGals and a Steamboat Swing Dance Party — all performing throughout the newly opened Boardwalk section of the park. Out on the Cedar Point Beach, daring circus artists, synchronized kite shows and interactive kids' activities add to the spectacle. New this year is the Fascination Funway, a game show-inspired experience. Visitors will also encounter classic feats of strength and skill around every corner, from high-dive performances and teeterboard artists to acrobatic balancing teams and the dramatic, 40-foot-tall Wheel of Destiny. No boardwalk visit would be complete without its iconic treats. In addition to cotton candy, flavored popcorn and grilled hot dogs, Boardwalk Nights offers indulgent bites like pierogis with sour cream, donut-on-a-stick, jalapeño poppers with cheese sauce, and pickle-on-a-stick. Adults can enjoy beer and margarita flights, a cotton candy cocktail, Rocket Pop® Bonanza, and a variety of frozen drinks and shakers. Family-friendly fun continues with games like Hy Stryker, Boardwalk Basketball, and Ring A Seagull, a tongue-in-cheek tribute to the park's feathered residents. Each night concludes with a festive finale — a synchronized fireworks and pyrotechnics show launched from the rooftops of the Dodgem ride and Cedar Point Grand Pavilion.
