Marina adding luxury RV sites

SANDUSKY — Hoty Marine Group recently announced a new addition to Son Rise Marina, 1535 First St. in Sandusky: 12 luxury full-season RV sites. They'll become available beginning in the summer of 2026. "The upscale marina will continue to offer its full suite of services, including dockage and heated winter boat storage, while welcoming a new group of outdoor lifestyle enthusiasts," according to a group statement. "Inspired by the growing popularity of RV travel and its natural alignment with the boating community, this new addition reflects Hoty Marine Group's continued investment in creating premium recreational experiences along First Street in Sandusky," it added. Each site will feature: • An oversized concrete pad • A 360-square-foot patio • Full utility hookups, including electric, water/sewer and Wi-Fi. RV guests can also "enjoy access to marina amenities, including the pool, community room, bathhouse and laundry facilities," the statement read. "The sites are designed for full summer seasonal use versus daily or weekly transient use." Among those most excited about the upgrade: John Hoty, president of Hoty Marine Group. "These sites offer an unparalleled setting for anyone looking to embrace the RV lifestyle all summer long with the bonus of our marina amenities and stunning views," Hoty said. This expansion follows the success of Bayfront Resort at Cross View, a transient RV and cottage resort, developed by Son Rise's parent company, Hoty Enterprises, in 2023.
