Family heirlooms mistakenly donated

SANDUSKY — A local woman is seeking help from the community after a couple of meaningful family items were mistakenly donated to Goodwill. Local resident Amber Novotny is urgently seeking the public's help in recovering two cherished wall hangings that were accidentally donated to Goodwill. These items were brought into the Sandusky Goodwill on Saturday, June 21. Novotny has made multiple efforts to retrieve the items, including contacting Goodwill several times, visiting the Sandusky location in person and checking the Bellevue outlet store where donated items may have been transported. She has also posted on various community forums and Facebook groups in Sandusky and neighboring cities. Each has deep sentimental value. "These items have been in my possession for over 30 years and with my family for many more years," Novotny said. "And they are a few ways I remember my grandma.
