Prayer gathering planned

Editor's note: Melissa Murphy is serving as a lead coordinator for an upcoming spiritual event taking place this week in Milan. MILAN — Join us under the tent for three powerful nights of revival, repentance and healing: for our families, communities and our nation. The Prayer Gathering Tent Revival takes place at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday as well as a bonus gathering from noon to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at Edison Park, by Edison Elementary School, in Milan. A free event, it's open to all, whether from Milan or surrounding communities. Attendees can expect: • Powerful worship and prayer • Words of encouragement and prophetic insight • Prayer over key community groups each night • A setting to hear and see the Holy Spirit move • An opportunity to be baptized • A life-changing encounter with the love and power of Jesus This revival was birthed from months of faithful prayer at the Milan Town Hall — cries for transformation, restoration and an outpouring of God's presence. It will take inspiration from 2 Chronicles 7:14, a Bible verse: "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." These gatherings are about more than a moment: They are a holy encounter that overflows from hearts to homes, churches and schools to towns. The Firelands region is a land of restoration, and this is a call to reclaim what was lost. Let the Holy Spirit's fire flow freely through this region. Let souls be saved, healed and transformed. We believe this is a time of signs, wonders and miracles where one moment in His presence changes everything. These gatherings are not here to compete with the church. They complement it, strengthen it and unite the body of Christ. We are believing for an overflow that echoes across the region.
