Relive the Civil War

LYME TWP. — People can experience Civil War Days at Historic Lyme Village to learn about domestic life on the home front during the American Civil War, from 1861 to 1865. This year's annual event takes place all day on both July 26 and July 27 at Historic Lyme Village, 5001 Ohio 4, Bellevue. "Experience the past as the museum comes alive with reenactors, demonstrators and craftspeople," according to an event statement. "Living historians will be on hand demonstrating period dress, cooking, music, dancing, games, etiquette and more. Additionally, people can "walk through the camps and interact with soldiers from the North and South as they go about their daily activities. Observe cooking demonstrations, learn about what soldiers did in their spare time, including games and sports. Adults and children participate in Civil War drills with the soldiers.
