Interns continue to make impact

HURON — This past week, local college students enrolled in the Greater Sandusky Partnership's Summer on the Sandusky Bay Internship Experience continued spending time working with businesses in the region. Here's what they recently did with excerpts provided by the partnership: • Interns started their day with a mystery box activity led by Alissa Fisher of the partnership and Mary Giles of North Bay Realty. The activity allowed interns to channel their creative skills as a group. • Michelle Brodke of BGSU Firelands led a soft skills workshop. • Interns then attended a lunch panel featuring local business owners. This would include meeting with Lea Wechter of Gathering Grounds Coffee House in Huron and Spencer Patterson of 725 Uncontained. • Interns spent the rest of the day taking part in a team-building/communication exercise. • The day concluded with a trip to Pied Piper Drive In • The following day, interns spent the day at the NASA Neil A. Armstrong Test Facility in Erie County. • They'll soon take a trip to Cleveland where they'll attend a Guardians game.
