Former city man, reporter to be on 'Jeopardy!'

SANDUSKY — He's heading to the studio for a second time. Jason Singer, a former Sandusky resident and reporter for the Register, will compete in an upcoming episode of "Jeopardy!{" airing on Tuesday. In Sandusky's TV market, viewers can check out Singer's performance at 7:30 p.m. on CBS affiliates. Depending on location, it could be Cleveland's WOIO 19 or Toledo's WTOL-TV 11. "This has been a multi-year dream in the making, and I'd like to be invited back one day, so please tune in and let's set some viewership records," Singer said on his social media. Singer is following the lead of his wife, Susan McMillan, who competed on the show a few years ago. McMillan was also a former reporter for the Register and Sanduskian. McMillan won $35,000 and came out victorious during her two-episode run in 2021. "We're also hoping to become the first-ever couple to have been married first and then gone on to both be 'Jeopardy!' champions, so some fun history is at stake," Singer said. "Tune in, root me on and laugh at some of my almost-certain-to-occur dumb answers. And thank you, as always, for all your love and support."
