Celebrate the 4th on the 3rd

OAK HARBOR — Come celebrate Independence Day with a night full of family-friendly events. The Oak Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce is inviting the community to its annual Independence Day Celebration starting at 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 3 at Mill Street Riverfront. Admission is free, and all are welcome to join in this family-friendly celebration of patriotism and community spirit. Event highlights include: • Food vendors — People can enjoy a wide variety of food from local favorites. • Live local entertainment — The event will feature performances by area musicians and entertainers. There will also be a disc jockey to entertain the public. • Car show — Attendees can view a wide-ranging lineup of classic and modern vehicles. • Royal duck race — People can cheer on a duck in this fun race. • Gaga ball and archery ranges — Hosted by the Boy Scouts of America, there will be two gaga ball pits and a Nerf-style archery range with a certified range master. • Bounce house — Provided by Radiant Sports and Wellness Center, children can jump around in this amenity.
