Cage fights set for Saturday

SANDUSKY — For nearly eight years, there have been no events centered around combat sports entertainment in Sandusky or the surrounding vacationland. This will change at Carnage Fight Series No. 2. First bell begins at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6 p.m. Fans of mixed martial arts are invited to enjoy a night full of cage fighting Saturday at Ten Fifty Eight Events Center, 1058 Cleveland Road (U.S. 6). The event is being presented by the newly founded Carnage Fight Series, a promotional company based out of Findlay. The card includes a dozen matches, with both amateur locals getting their names out there, and national professional fighters working and winning their way towards the UFC. Such scheduled fights include: • Grant Waybright versus Andrew Gamblin for a bantamweight title • Will Chiow versus Colton Hensley for an interim welterweight title • Juan Minnifield versus Shawn Freeman in a featherweight war. The co-main event will feature Feraris Golden versus Wilson Lopshire for a pro super lightweight bout, and the main event will be Quintin Richards versus Jimmy Sandlin for a pro super lightweight bout.
