BELLEVUE • Lindsay Musser and Alondra Rita were recognized with the North Point Educational Service Center Compass of Excellence Award. MARGARETTA • Margaretta Schools sent seven students to Buckeye Boys State at Miami University. At Buckeye Boys State, students receive hands-on experience to learn how the government works. It is the third-oldest and one of the largest boys state programs with more than 1,200 attending annually from nearly 600 schools. • Margaretta's FFA traveled to Ireland for a 10-day trip to learn about agriculture. Students and their families visited Dublin, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Kildare, the Irish National Stud Farm and Gardens, Kilkenny Castle, an Irish dairy farm, a potato farm, had a sheep herding experience, saw Glengowla Mines, a shellfish and seaweed farm, the Cliffs of Moher and many other experiences. SANDUSKY CAREER CENTER • Breanna Pullano won a scholarship from The Sandusky Club of Black Business and Professional Women. Pullano is set to graduate as a registered nurse this November. GREAT RIVER CONNECTIONS • Two local students graduated from Great River Connections. Great River Connections is an online public school for kindergarten through 12th grade. The school congratulated Autumn Rupel from Vermilion and Karah Massie from Clyde. BENTON-CARROLL-SALEM • Benton-Carroll-Salem Schools in Oak Harbor hosted its Biddy Basketball Camp ST. PAUL • St. Paul hosted a volleyball camp for 90 girls in third through eighth grades. WESTERN RESERVE • District 53 Representative Joe Miller invited Western Reserve district members to visit the statehouse. When Miller substitute taught at Western Reserve, he invited teacher Summer Warzinik to visit the statehouse in Columbus. Warzinik, her kids and a few select students explored the state capitol with a tour, listened in on bills, were present for voting and went sightseeing.
