Huron sets summer boat basin schedule

HURON — Those organizing events through Huron's parks and recreation department welcome people to check out one, some or all of the entertainment events lined up for 2025 at the boat basin, 330 Main St., Huron. These events are free to attend. People can visit cityofhuron.org for a full list of these events, largely broken up into three different categories: Boppin' on the Basin •3 p.m. June 28 — Huron Rotary Festival featuring Monica Robins and the Whiskey Kings along with Wally & The Beavs • 6 p.m. July 5 — Red, White & Blues Bang featuring The Underworld Blues Band and Blue Lunch, playing iconic blues, blues rock and classic rock; There will be fireworks at 10:15 p.m. • July 11-12 — Huron River Fest; People can visit huronriverfest.com for more information.; On July 11, there will be fireworks at 10:15 p.m. • 5 p.m. July 19 — K-96 Summer Jam featuring local music, food vendors and more • 7 p.m. July 26 — Christmas in July featuring Rumours, Ohio's premier Fleetwood Mac tribute band • Aug. 1-3 — 26th-annual All Classics Festival featuring The Divots, an acoustic classic and country rock; People can visit facebook.com/allclassicsfestival for more information. It will feature The Divots, an acoustic and country rock band. • 7 p.m. Aug. 9 — Faction, an American punk band • 7 p.m. Aug. 16 — SuperBeatle, a tribute to the Beatles Movies by the River People can visit the boat basin to watch free movies on the following Wednesdays: • Dusk July 23 — "Harold and the Purple Crayon" • 7 p.m. July 30 — "Wicked" • 7 p.m. Aug. 6 — "Moana 2" • 7 p.m. Aug. 13 — "Inside Out 2" Arts in the Amphitheater Arts in the amphitheater also features live music acts.
