Caryl Crane offering 2 free shows

SANDUSKY — Caryl Crane Youth Theatre's summer theatre intensive, known as Camp Caryl Crane Youth Theatre, is presenting free public performances of two musical productions on the Erie County Community Foundation stage on Jackson Street Pier, 221 W. Shoreline Drive, Sandusky: • "Finding Nemo Kids — 1 p.m. on Sunday; "Finding Nemo Kids" is the culmination of a weeklong day camp with 26 young actors between the ages of 8 and 11. • "Legally Blonde: The Musical" — 7 p.m. on Tuesday; "Legally Blonde" features 36 students between the ages of 12 and 18. The camp is more than a traditional summer camp. "Designed for students ages 8-18, the program is a comprehensive, one-week intensive in which students get a chance to hone their skills in a fast-paced, creative environment," according to an organizational statement. "Each student participant not only stars onstage in the production but also contributes to the direction, choreography and design of the production," it continued.
