Local planner named to state leadership group

SANDUSKY — Arin Blair, the chief planner for Sandusky's government, was recently selected as a 2025 Leadership Ohio Fellow. Blair joins a class of "35 trailblazing leaders (who) have been chosen to explore Ohio's most pressing challenges and opportunities while strengthening the state's civic health and prosperity.' More than 230 nominations came in from across the state. "I'm deeply humbled to have been selected to join Leadership Ohio's Class of 2025," Blair said. "This is a great opportunity to build relationships across the state, learn critical skills for communicating across all types of differences and bring those tools back to the city of Sandusky in our continued work to support a thriving community." Leadership Ohio, the state's premier leadership development program, aims to connect diverse leaders to promote positive change. The program spans throughout 2025, during which time participants will explore critical issues, engage in social discourse and identify opportunities to impact their communities. Shon Christy, president of the Leadership Ohio board of trustees, emphasized the significance of cultivating leadership in today's society, stating, "We are ecstatic to welcome the Class of 2025. These distinguished leaders are the embodiment of progress, uniting to pave the way for a stronger, brighter Ohio." Upon graduation, fellows will join the esteemed ranks of Leadership Ohio alumni, a network of accomplished individuals dedicated to making a difference in their communities.
