Free concert features Caryl Crane

SANDUSKY — The Caryl Crane Youth Theatre, in partnership with The First Presbyterian Church of Sandusky, is presenting "Caryl Crane: A Life In Song. It's scheduled for 7 p.m. on Thursday at the church, 265 Jackson St., Sandusky. "This free concert, featuring the vocal stylings of 18 talented student actors, answers the burning question: Who is Caryl Crane, the woman whose name travels the country on the T-shirt sleeves of Sandusky State Theatre's award-winning youth theatre program?" according to an event preview. This evening of song and story explores the life and times of Miss Caryl Crane, Sandusky's first lady of fashion and the founder of the Caryl Crane Youth Theatre. But her story doesn't end there. We chase Miss Crane from her beginnings in Sandusky, Ohio, to the Broadway stages of New York City to the Miss America beauty pageant circuit and beyond.
