Fun times planned for fish festival

VERMILION — The Vermilion Chamber of Commerce is proud to present one of its signature summer events, the 59th annual Festival of the Fish, happening June 13–15 in downtown Vermilion. This year's theme — Fishing in the 80s: Big Hair & Mulletmania — aims to deliver a fun, throwback twist to a cherished tradition that brings thousands to the shores of Lake Erie, giving a big boost to local businesses. What started decades ago as a simple community celebration has become a must-attend event for locals and visitors alike. The festival fuels the local economy by filling restaurants, shops, patios, lodging and service-based businesses just as the summer season kicks off. Festival of the Fish is more than just a weekend of fun: It's an economic driver. It brings people downtown, supports our small businesses and reminds everyone why Vermilion is such a special place to live, work and play. We couldn't do it without our small army of volunteers and the generous support of our sponsors.
