'Valuable member' recognized at dept.

SANDUSKY — The Erie County Health Department recently announced Darlene Scott as its employee of the month for June. Scott, described as a "valuable member of the facilities team, is being recognized for her outstanding dedication and positive contributions since joining the department last fall," according to her nomination form. She's consistently demonstrated "an exceptional work ethic, reliability and a consistently pleasant demeanor. Her willingness to assist others and her unwavering commitment to every task she undertakes have made a significant impact," the statement read. "Her positive attitude, willingness to help and consistent effort have been evident since day one, and she truly embodies the spirit of our department," said Steve Staley, the health department's chief grants, marketing and quality assurance officer. Each month, the health department gives out its Employee of the Month Award. It recognizes staff members who demonstrate "outstanding service, dedication and a positive attitude, contributing significantly to the department's mission of promoting and protecting the health of Erie County residents," the statement read. "The Erie County Health Department commends Darlene for her outstanding service and dedication to maintaining a positive and supportive environment for all," the statement read.
