Take a sip at The Drip

BELLEVUE — Before her time in high school ended, Audrey Turner began a now-flourishing career as an entrepreneur while selling a product she's passionate about. Earlier this year and while still attending Bellevue High School, the 2025 graduate opened The Drip, a mobile coffeehouse serving a variety of drinks and treats in and around the Bellevue area. "I have always had ambitions to start my own business but wasn't 100% sure what I wanted to do," said Audrey, an experienced barista. "But when I worked at two local coffeeshops last summer, I found a real interest in coffee and the science behind it. The process can get very technical, but I enjoy doing it." Audrey and her dad, Tom Turner, spent this past winter renovating and upcycling, or reusing, a 40-year-old horse trailer, repurposing it into her movable coffeeshop. Also before debuting, Audrey worked on crafting a tasty menu, which consists of coffees and coffee variations. This would include lattes, macchiatos or americanos, served iced or hot and made with organic espresso from One Line, an Ohio roaster and direct-source coffee bean purchase. In addition, customers can enjoy smoothies and boba teas. "Our menu is full of great flavors, and there really is something for everyone here," said Audrey, noting The Drip falls under the umbrella of what's known as Aud's Coffee Co. "And you can customize orders as well. We are very versatile." Whether with the trailer or menu, Audrey wanted to create a welcoming and inviting experience for all of her customers. "This really is a great place for families to come," said Audrey, who competed on Bellevue High School's girls basketball team that won a state championship in the spring. "It's a nice general meeting spot for people, locals and out-of-towners, who can meet up, grab a coffee and take a seat in a park and catch up." Audrey plans to attend the University of Findlay in the fall, majoring in health and physical education with a minor in business. She does aspire to become a teacher while working at The Drip over the summers. The Drip has already received many positive reviews and glowing feedback. On Monday, during a family-oriented event at the Bellevue Public Library, Audrey tirelessly waited on a constant influx of customers desiring her drinks. Looking on, Shannon Turner, her mother, spoke with great admiration about Audrey's willingness to learn and serve their hometown community. "Audrey has always been a passionate kiddo," Shannon said. "If she's invested and interested in something, she goes all-in. That's what makes her such a magnetic person to be around: She likes to make people happy as well, and serving up someone's favorite drink brings her great joy." She continued: "Tom and I couldn't be more proud of her passion, perseverance through the struggles of being a business owner and positive attitude."
