Seniors leave proud legacy at Margaretta

CASTALIA — Shayleigh Foreman marveled at each and every student who represents Margaretta High School's senior class. "Our strengths as a class transcend any limitations that our young behavior may have inflicted on us," Foreman said. "I've witnessed the incredible talent and creativity of our class, and I'm confident that all of you have a promising future ahead." She continued: "Though simple and seemingly futile, the experiences and memories that we made together as children have paved the way for our unique future endeavors. I wish you all the best as you continue to pursue these passions after high school." Foreman spoke during Margaretta High School's graduation ceremony, taking place Sunday night at the district's football stadium. Speaking with great pride, Grace Paseka shared the stage with Foreman as the classmates went back and forth in their dual speeches. "Our class has contributed to multiple school records, state qualifying teams and helped to make history in the school," Paseka said. Ava Dickman then addressed all attendees. She offered a message for her fellow graduates. "I want us to be ourselves from here on out," Dickman said. "At the next interview for a big job or meeting new friends, don't allow them to like the person that's not you. While high school is a journey of self-growth, I believe we are just beginning," she added. "I can speak for everyone here when I say I wish you happiness and success on your different journeys." All speakers expressed appreciation in some form: to their classmates, teachers, friends, families and all supporters who helped them along in their journeys thus far in life. "Class of 2025, we survived the last 13 years of our lives together," Foreman said. "Thank you."
