Sandusky sets street closures for Bike Week

SANDUSKY — The Ohio Bike Week Downtown Block Party is scheduled to occur Thursday, June 5 through Saturday, June 7 in downtown Sandusky. The following street closures and parking restrictions will be in effect for the event: Today through Sunday, June 1 • Shoreline Drive between the Jackson Street Pier entrance and the Barrel House Saloon may be closed from 4-11 p.m. on these days. It's all dependent on the volume of motorcycle traffic. Access to the pier, however, will be maintained. 5 p.m. Monday, June 2 through midday Sunday, June 8 • Jackson Street Pier north of the roundabout 8 a.m. Wednesday, June 4 through midday Sunday, June 8 • All of Jackson Street Pier* • Shoreline Drive between Jackson and Wayne streets * For pedestrians, a portion of the northern section of the Jackson Street Pier will be ticketed access from noon on Thursday, June 5 through noon on Sunday, June 8. But the remainder of the pier will be open to all pedestrians throughout the event. 1 p.m. Thursday, June 5 through midday Sunday, June 8 • Jackson Street between Shoreline Drive and West Market Street • West Water Street between Jackson Street and Columbus Avenue • Jackson Street parking lot 1 p.m. Friday, June 6 through midday Sunday, June 8 • West Market Street between Jackson Street and Columbus Avenue • West Washington and East Washington rows • The Erie County Office Building parking garage Saturday, June 7* • Columbus Avenue between Market and Adams streets • Washington Street between Jackson Street and Wayne Street * It's possible these streets don't close. Organizers will make a final decision on Saturday morning. Public parking Public parking will be available in the following parking lots throughout the weekend: • Paper District Marina, 611 Shoreline Drive • Water and Decatur streets lot, 501 W. Water St. • E. Water St. lot, 130 E. Water St. • East Water and Wayne streets lot, 203 E. Water St. • Wayne Street lot, 130 Wayne St. • Market Grounds lot, 300 E.
