PORT CLINTON — Port Clinton's baseball team scored scored 10 runs in the first inning and coasted to a 14-4 five-inning non-conference win against Western Reserve on Tuesday. Danny Baker tallied three singles, two runs scored and two runs batted in for Port Clinton (4-18). Tre Armendariz doubled twice, scored twice and had two RBI while Derek Abernathy added a single, double, RBI and run. Beckett Mizener, Lucas Bodie and Carter Crum each also scored twice for the Redskins. Mizener went the distance for PC. He allowed four runs on six hits while striking out five. Grant Swain lined three singles, drove in two runs and scored a run for SMCC (15-10). Reid Wikel added two singles, two RBI and two runs while Blake Finneran and Will Bruni each scored twice. Eli Dinsmore went all five innings for the Panthers, allowing one run on six hits. He struck out seven. Landin Hershiser and Jaxson Hedrick each had two hits for the Eagles (13-10). Bryson Wittmer (RBI) and Cole Leimeister each tallied two hits and four runs scored while Owen Price lined three hits and scored three times. Brody McFadden had two singles, two RBI and two runs while Gabe Dymond had two hits and Abe Hermes added two RBI. Wittmer went the first three innings, allowing no runs while walking one. He struck out eight. Leimeister pitched a scoreless sixth inning. Wesley Shupe doubled and drove in four for the Truckers (12-9). Park Wilhite tallied two hits and a run for the Lakers while Danny Carroll and Tommy Dean each registered a single and run batted in.
