PREP ROUNDUP: Truckers edge Streaks in 6 after thunder delays

NORWALK — Norwalk scored in the fifth and sixth innings to edge Sandusky 3-2 on Monday in a baseball game called after six following a pair of thunder delays. Norwalk scored what proved to be the game-winning run when Wesley Shupe hit a sacrifice fly to center field with one out in the top of the sixth. Brady Singer scored on the play. Shupe struck out eight and got the win for the Truckers (11-3, 6-1 SBC Lake). Dillon Crawford threw a complete game for the Blue Streaks (11-10, 1-7), who had runners on second and third when Norwalk got the third out in the bottom of the sixth. Sandusky took the lead with two runs in the third. Landon Parker scored on a Rocco D'Amico's groundout and Crawford (singled) scored on Dennarius Walk's double. The game was moved to Norwalk because Sandusky's field was not playable. The Truckers host Perkins on Wednesday. The Pirates (6-2) and Bellevue (5-2) each have two Lake Division losses. Musser led off the bottom of the seventh with a walk before Tyson Baptista bunted and reached on an error. Bollinger delivered the game-winning hit on a 2-1 count. Ike Brown got the pitching win by throwing a scoreless seventh inning. Drew Dennings worked the first six innings, giving up one earned run.
