FFA hosts petting zoo

MONROEVILLE — The week of April 14, the Monroeville FFA chapter put on its own FFA week. It consisted of spirit days and some major events: Monday The chapter kicked off the week by putting on a petting zoo with a spirit day of dress like a farmer. The petting zoo allows everyone in the school the opportunity to meet and pet these animals. Members brought in a variety of animals, including chickens, ducks, rabbits, pigs, goats, a donkey and, last but not least, a beef cow. Along with that, a member even brought a grill and had a cookout for the FFA members involved. The students and staff absolutely love the petting zoo. It's a great chance to get outside and enjoy the animals along with the beautiful weather. Tuesday Members wore their FFA shirts to show their pride for FFA and began preparing decorations for the banquet. Wednesday Members dressed in their finest and prepared for the banquet that evening. Remainder of week Members wore their favorite tractor brand shirts and drove their tractors to school. Thank you to all who made this week a success.
