Honor a difference-maker

SANDUSKY — April marks Child Abuse Prevention Month, and Erie County Job and Family Services officials are putting on several events to help recognize this period. This would include the annual Aiding Children's Excellence Award process. "As always, in an effort to recognize those individuals who go above and beyond, we are accepting nominations for the Aiding Children's Excellence Awards," according to a statement from Erie County Job and Family Services, which oversees this process. "This is a great opportunity to acknowledge those volunteers/community members, medical personnel, law enforcement, foster parents, court personnel/attorneys, educators and public and private nonprofit agencies who make a difference each and every day," it read. All individuals will be recognized at an awards banquet on May 7 at Sawmill Creek Resort in Huron. Nominations are due by April 25. How to nominate someone?
