SANDUSKY — The Erie County Health Department wants to treat residents who are growing older to a free lunch and an opportunity to make a plan to stay healthy. The Live Longer Live Better conference begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 26 at Sawmill Creek, 400 Sawmill Creek Drive, near the intersection of Cleveland Road (U.S. 6) and Rye Beach Road, in Huron. Make reservations to this free event by calling Paul DeSario at the health department, at 419-626-5623, who was a guest Thursday on "Between the Lines." "What we're promoting is our brand new health care center," DeSario said. "We want to build a health center to address our senior population and make them feel at home instead of feeling like a number, using 'My Chart' at home." Serving Our Seniors is a co-sponsor of the conference. There will be free health screening, free gift bags for the first 100 people who register.
