Police: Suspect used Bible in assault

SANDUSKY — Police arrested a woman who allegedly hit another woman in the head with a Bible on Sunday.Officers charged Kelley Lodge, 34, of Meigs Street, with misdemeanor domestic violence, along with a felony probation violation and also served her with a misdemeanor bench warrant.Sandusky police responded to Lodge's Meigs Street home at about 12:40 p.m. for a reported domestic incident, according to a police report.A witness in the home told officers that Lodge and a woman had argued all morning, and Lodge then allegedly threw a Bible and a walker at the woman, the report states. Both of the objects hit the woman's face.Officers said they tried to get Lodge's side of the story but she allegedly did not give any indication of what happened, according to the report. Police decided to charge Lodge and took her into custody.
