New high school principal hired

SANDUSKY — There will be a new principal roaming the hallways of Sandusky High School. During a recent public meeting, Sandusky's board of education hired Edward Kosek to serve as the high school's top-ranking person. His new role, which comes with a $128,000 salary, begins Aug. 1, right before the 2025-26 school year. "I am honored and eager to join the Sandusky High School community," Kosek said. "I look forward to collaborating with the dedicated faculty, staff, students and families to create a vibrant and empowering learning environment that prepares every student for success." Kosek boasts more than 20 years of experience. His most recent position: assistant principal at North Ridgeville High School, which is south of Avon. Along with this experience, Kosek also brings a bachelor of science degree in education and a master's degree in educational administration from Cleveland State University. Many look forward to his arrival. "Mr. Kosek's student-centered leadership, dynamic energy and innovative approach will be an invaluable asset to the Sandusky High School team," said Dennis Muratori, chief of staff and transformation officer. Kosek's priorities run parallel to the district's mission of providing students with an enriching educational experience that gives them the necessary skills and knowledge for success. "We are incredibly excited to welcome Mr. Kosek and witness his passion and energy as he continues to build upon the foundation of Envision 2030 and further advance our district's vision," superintendent Dan Rambler said.
