Sandusky kickball returns for encore season

SANDUSKY — Let's kick it one more time.A Sandusky recreation department-sponsored adult kickball league returns for a second season. Games start in mid-August and run through late October.Last year about 180 people spread across 12 teams participated in organized games at Kiwanis Park on First Street.Attendance levels made kickball one of the most popular programs ever presented by Sandusky."The success from offering the adult kickball league in 2015 made the decision to bring the league back again this year a no-brainer," city recreation superintendent Victoria Kurt said. "It was just neat to see the adult community come together in a safe and competitive atmosphere all while having a good time."She continued: "This year we are looking forward to the possibility to add more than a dozen teams and then add an additional park location, if we need to. That would be our ideal situation."
