SANDUSKY — The Erie County Health Department/Erie County Community Health Center recently announced the addition of two new employees — a physician and dentist, each with years of experience — to its team. Dr. Kathleen Scroggins Dr. Kathleen Scroggins recently arrived at the health department, working for its medical staff. Scroggins is a board-certified family physician with more than 30 years of experience. In addition to family medicine, Scroggins provides behavioral health services at the Erie County detox center and Kaptur-Rogowski House. She sees patients of all ages and has special interests in caring for children, mental health care, substance use disorders, chronic disease management and preventive care. "We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Scroggins to the (health department's) team," county health commissioner Pete Schade said. "Her extensive experience and dedication to comprehensive patient care, including behavioral health and substance use disorders, will be a tremendous asset to our community." Nicole Ziegler, the department's chief health services officer, added, "Dr. Scroggins' commitment to serving patients of all ages combined with her expertise in a wide range of health concerns makes her a valuable addition to our team. We are confident she will provide compassionate and high-quality care to our patients." Scroggins is accepting patients at the health department's main campus, 420 Superior St., in Sandusky. He brings more than 30 years of experience in providing expert dental care. Snyder earned his doctor of dental surgery degree from West Virginia University in 1994 and served the community there for 20 years. He has been practicing in Ohio since 2018. His passion for patient care is evident in his dedication to the profession. "We are excited to welcome Dr. Snyder to the Erie County Health Department," Schade said. "His extensive experience and commitment to patient well-being will significantly enhance our ability to provide quality dental care to the community." The health department offers dental services at three locations: • The main campus at 420 Superior St. in Sandusky • At EHOVE Career Center's health center, 316 W.
