ALL-SBC BOYS: Henlon, Washington, Adelsperger earn top honors

Sandusky's Jason Henlon has repeated. For the second year in a row, the Blue Streaks senior was named the Most Outstanding Performer in the SBC Lake Division, the league announced Tuesday. Henlon helped lead Sandusky to a fourth-straight league title. The Blue Streaks enter Tuesday's contest against Ashland with a 13-7 record including a 9-1 mark in the league. Entering last Saturday's game against Fremont Ross, Henlon was averaging 17.2 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game. Henlon was joined on the Lake first team by Columbian's Zach Shawberry, Clyde's Brayden Olson, Perkins' Joey Diederich, and Bellevue's Joel Ray. Olson led the division in scoring at 17.6 points per game and has knocked down 50 3-pointers. Diederich averaged 13.5 points and 5.7 assists per game. Ray led Bellevue in scoring at 11.5 points a contest while dishing 3.9 assists a night. The Bay Division's top performer was Margaretta junior Julian Washington. Washington led the entire SBC in scoring at 21.6 points per game as the Polar Bears won the league title by running the table. Huron's Jackson McNulty made the first team after averaging 14.0 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. Joining him was Margaretta's Judah Keller, who averaged 10.6 points and 4.6 rebounds per game and Huron's Tommie McDonald, who tallied 14.6 points and 4.8 assists per game. Rounding out the Bay first team was Edison's Cole Leimeister, who turned in 16.0 points and 3.7 rebounds per night. The SBC River Division MOP was Old Fort's Ryan Adelsperger. He averaged 20.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game for the league champion Stockaders. Danbury's Tyler Harris was a first-team pick after averaging 16.8 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. St. Mary Central Catholic's Cayden Wikel was named to the second team after putting up 13.2 points and 2.9 rebounds a contest. Danbury's Frankie Kovach was a honorable mention selection, averaging 15.1 points and 5.1 rebounds per night.
