Economic development org. names new leader

Those serving on Team NEO's board of directors recently announced the organization's new CEO, Matt Dolan. Team NEO, shorthand for northeast Ohio, is a private, nonprofit economic development organization accelerating business growth in the northeast Ohio region. The organization offered up some reasons as to why Dolan is best suited to lead. "A lifelong advocate for northeast Ohio, Matt is an accomplished attorney, successful businessman and dedicated public servant," according to an organizational statement. "He served in both the Ohio House and (Ohio) Senate where, as finance committee chair in both chambers, he oversaw billions in state budgets and played a key role in creating the economic development tools that JobsOhio and Team NEO use today to attract new businesses, support existing companies and drive job creation." Under Dolan's leadership, the organization "will build on the strong foundation" created by his predecessors in this role, the organization noted. "With Matt's collaborative leadership, deep relationships with business leaders and policymakers and strategic vision, we are confident that Team NEO will continue to accelerate growth and create a more competitive and prosperous economy for the 14-county northeast Ohio region." This would include Erie and Huron counties, two areas supported by the Greater Sandusky Partnership. "We are thrilled to hear that our partners at Team NEO have named Matt Dolan as their next CEO," according to a partnership statement. "We work closely with Team NEO to support business expansion, attraction and retention in our region, and their work plays a key role in driving northeast Ohio's economic growth. As Team NEO enters this new chapter, we look forward to seeing their continued impact under Matt's leadership."
