Summer internship experience launched

SANDUSKY — The Greater Sandusky Partnership announced the launch of the Summer on Sandusky Bay Internship Experience, a program designed to connect college-level interns with the unique opportunities and experiences offered in the Greater Sandusky Bay region. "This initiative combines professional development and social engagement to enrich the summer internship experience and inspire students to consider long-term opportunities in the area," partnership CEO Eric Wobser said. The internship experience invites local businesses and organizations to enroll their summer interns in a curated program. Interns will participate in a range of activities: from professional development seminars and networking events to enjoying local entertainment and recreational opportunities. Programming will be coordinated by partnership and supported by partner organizations, including North Coast Young Professionals, the Ottawa County Improvement Corp. and the Minority Business Empowerment Team. "Our goal is to showcase the best of the region while helping interns build connections and grow professionally," said David White, the partnership's workforce and policy director. "We believe that by exposing summer interns to the vibrant culture and opportunities here, we can retain talent and strengthen our local workforce."
