Venue unveiled

SANDUSKY — A new event space recently debuted and hosted its first event in downtown Sandusky "The evening was truly unforgettable, filled with enjoyment and numerous milestones," according to a post from 126 Event Venue, at 126 Columbus Ave., in downtown Sandusky. The post referred to welcoming Fresch Electric Fixtures & Supplies in for a holiday party. Beyond parties, 126 can host all sorts of events, such as baby/bridal showers, anniversaries and birthdays, among others. Owned and operated by Leisa Oakes, she provided some additional information on fulfilling a longtime desire. "I have always wanted to renovate the interior of my building to reflect its age and historical significance," said Oakes, who also owns The Dyein' Hippie, also at 126 Columbus Ave. There's also a Dyein Hippie on Kelleys Island. "In doing so, I believe we established something truly distinctive in downtown Sandusky," said Oakes, pointing to people to visit Facebook and search for "126 Event Venue," for more information.
