School closings for Tuesday, Jan. 21/Wednesday, Jan. 22

Many schools are canceling classes this week due to the extreme cold. Some districts also noted if extracurriculars, such as sports, will occur on those closure days. Tuesday's and Wednesday's closures • Bellevue; After-school activities will be communicated once a decision is made tomorrow. • Benton-Carroll-Salem • BGSU and BGSU Firelands • Clyde-Green Springs; All extracurriculars will hear from their coaches. • Danbury; High school events for Tuesday are canceled. High school events on Wednesday will be determined by 1 p.m. on Wednesday. All elementary and middle school extracurriculars have been canceled for both days. • Edison; All after-school activities and practices are canceled. The district will continue to monitor the forecast for Wednesday. • EHOVE; high school and daytime adult ed classes are canceled. • Fremont • Huron; Afternoon/evening activities will be decided by noon Wednesday. • Huron Sports Academy • Margaretta; a decision on extracurriculars will come at 1 p.m. on Wednesday • Monroeville • New London; All after-school events and practices are canceled for Tuesday. A decision regarding Wednesday activities will be made Wednesday afternoon. • Norwalk • Perkins; The bowling match and girls basketball games scheduled Tuesday along with bowling and wrestling matches scheduled for Wednesday have been canceled. In addition, all practices for Briar Middle School and youth sports scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday have been canceled. • Port Clinton • Sandusky; There will be no extracurricular activities district-wide. The Sandusky Career Center will remain open. • Sandusky Central Catholic School • Vermilion; All extracurricular activities for Wednesday will be decided soon. Tuesday's closures/Schools undecided about Wednesday • Bellevue; all after-school activities are to be determined and will be communicated with teams, clubs and groups on Tuesday. • Norwalk • Port Clinton Firelands Challenge match postponed North Point Educational Service Center announced Round I of the championship has been rescheduled. Teams should prepare for the match now planned for Jan. 30. 10:10 a.m. at Edison. This is the set date unless North Point Educational Service Center receives other information from the participating districts. Check back here for updates
