PREP ROUNDUP: Sandusky fends off late Columbian push

SANDUSKY — Sandusky held off a late Tiffin Columbian rally to post a 72-69 Sandusky Bay Conference Lake Division win Friday. The Blue Streaks improved to 6-4 overall and 4-0 in the SBC Lake. Amir Aaron led Sandusky with 23 points – 10 coming in the fourth quarter. Kobe Brown added 12 points for the Streaks. Sandusky went on a 13-0 run late in the third quarter to build a 55-44 lead. Zach Shawberry scored 26 points for Columbian (3-8, 0-3). His 3-pointer cut the Streaks' lead to 70-67 with 21 seconds to play. Logan Gooding added 18 points and made five 3-pointers. TC finished with 12 3s. The Blue Streaks will host Lexington (9-1 after a 71-54 win over Ashland on Friday) at 6 p.m. Saturday. The Minutemen will play without standout junior Brayden Fogle, who is out with an injury.
