Trump's stain on nation

In an interview on NBC's "Meet The Press" this weekend, President-elect Donald J. Trump said that members of the Jan. 6 Congressional committee should be jailed. He also has stated previously rioters who stormed and desecrated the U.S. Capitol on his behalf should be pardoned and released from jail. Does this sound like the leader of a strong democracy or rather a dictator who leads a Fascist Regime? Trump supporters seem to conveniently dodge the subject of Jan. 6 whenever they tout his promised policies and future agenda. Many Americans, such as myself, put more stock into the unprecedented stain on our nation that Trump orchestrated on Jan. 6 than any policy utterings from Trump that may or may not come to fruition. I believe Trump loyalists want to sweep Jan. 6 under the rug and block its ugly memory that will forever be etched in our nation's history. They do this because they cannot defend the indefensible.
