Come out to Christmas in the Village

BELLEVUE — Step back in time with a historical village's holiday calendar. Lyme Village, 5001 Ohio 4, Bellevue will host various Christmas-themed events this December. Check them out: • Victorian Christmas Dinner: At 6 p.m. on Dec. 7 and 1 p.m. on Dec. 8, the John Wright Mansion will host an 1890s-era traditional Christmas dinner. In addition to the four-course meal, attendees will tour the mansion. • Holiday Candlelit Tours: From 5-7 p.m. on Dec. 14 and Dec. 28, there will be candlelit tours of the village, decorated for an 1860s Christmas. Costumed interpreters will tell stories of the era's celebrations. The Carriage House Cafe will host hot drinks and cookies. The tours last 90 minutes and depart every 20 minutes. • Christmas in the Village: From 1-5 p.m. on Dec. 15, the village will be all-decked out for Christmas. Attendees can enjoy treats in different buildings while walking around the village. Children can write letters to Santa in the Merry Schoolhouse, mail them at the post office and visit him at the John Wright Mansion.
