Celebrate holidays with First Presbyterian

SANDUSKY — First Presbyterian Church, 265 Jackson St., will host a community-wide sing-along to begin the season on a joyful note. The program will include singing along with lots of classic favorite Christmas carols as well as listening to beautiful handbell, vocal and brass music. The singalong begins at 3 pm on Sunday, Dec. 1 at the church. This program is free and open to everyone. The program will feature Treble, a vocal and handbell ensemble, and the Olde Mill Brass Quintet. Both are from the local Sandusky area. Treble is an ensemble of eight women from five area communities. Their presentation includes handbells, a cappella singing, and choreography. The brass quintet will play seasonal pieces interspersed between the community singing. The heart of this program will be the community gathering to sing beloved Christmas carols together and welcoming in this season of celebration. Everyone is invited. Holiday lighting ceremony Friday First Presbyterian Church will participate in the community-wide Holiday Lighting Ceremony from 5-8 p.m. Friday in downtown Sandusky. "Stop by and warm up with a hot beverage: coffee, tea and hot chocolate," according to a church statement. "A complimentary Christmas ornament will be offered to each person who attends. First Presbyterian is at the corner of Washington and Jackson Streets, right across from the Merry-Go-Round Museum. Everyone is invited.
