Project Noelle seeks Adopt-a-Child elves

SANDUSKY — Project Noelle is getting ready for the season of Noel. Project Noelle, which helps children and families affected by the drug overdose crisis, has announced a list of locations in Erie County for its Adopt-a-Child effort for Christmas. Local residents are invited to get a child's name, buy gifts and drop them off. Project Noelle's founder Keli Clark explained how people can go to one of the many locations to pick up an envelope that will list the child's clothing sizes and wish list. Buy the gifts, then return them to the business, Clark said. Don't wrap them, although people can place the gifts in bags. Many local businesses have stepped up to supply locations for donors. "We have a couple of new spots, our community is amazing at helping these kids!" Clark said. According to Clark, drop-off locations are in: Sandusky • Drug Mart, 3700 Milan Road (U.S. 250) • JaxBar, 123 W. Market St. • Bait House Brewery, 223 Meigs St. • Kharma Salon & Boutique, 125 W. Water St. • Kaman's Korner, 1328 Milan Road (U.S. 250) • Brass Pelican Varsity Club, 414 W. Perkins Ave. • Firelands Federal Credit Union, 325 W. Perkins Ave. • WCPZ, 1640 Cleveland Road (U.S. 6) • Pizza Hut, 609 E. Perkins Ave. • Fox Cycle Works, 1011 Fremont Ave. (U.S. 6) • Subway, 3608 Venice Road (U.S. 6) • Sandusky Orthodontics, 534 Columbus Ave. • Zion Lutheran Church, 503 Columbus Ave. Huron • Huntington Bank, 357 Main St. Castalia • Cold Creek Cafe, 119 Main St. Milan • Invention Restaurant, 15 N. Main St. • Fin Feather Fur OUtfitters, 12400 U.S. 250 N. "People can pick up a name and drop off at any of these locations," Clark wrote. For those who would prefer to just donate toys without first getting a wish list, there are new locations for that, too. "We also have donation boxes set up at Ken Ganley Collision Center and Lake Erie Arms. We have a toy drive going on with NOMS administrative building and Firelands Scientific employees are purchasing for kids," she said. Ganley Collision Center is located at 2401 Cleveland Road in Sandusky. Lake Erie Arms is located at 9572 Milan Road in Milan. Anyone who wants to contribute their time to help Project Noelle is also welcome. "We are always looking for volunteers," Clark said.
