He entered guilty pleas to filing false financial disclosure forms, theft of drugs, deception to obtain dangerous drugs and multiple other counts. In all, he plead out to 14 criminal charges.Twenty-nine other criminal charges against Overmyer were dropped as part of the plea deal. Visiting judge Patricia Cosgrove is scheduled to sentence Overmyer at 11 a.m. in Sandusky County Common Pleas Court.Overmyer could receive a minimum sentence of probation or he could receive up to 14½ years in prison.On Nov. 22, Overmyer plead guilty to 13 felonies and one misdemeanor for a total of 14 counts that were drug related or involved theft in office.He was stripped of his position as sheriff and lost his credentials to be a peace officer.Overmyer was indicted by a grand jury in August on 43 counts, 38 of which were felonies. Most were drug related, including stealing from drug drop off boxes at various law enforcement departments in the county, deceiving doctors and pharmacies to obtain drugs and theft from the sheriff's Furtherance of Justice Fund.The county could ask to recover wages and benefits from Overmyer from the time he was put on suspension by a three judge panel.
