Chamber for regional growth

Since the founding of the Sandusky Chamber of Commerce in 1899, civic and business leaders have come together to promote our region and identify new opportunities for growth. As our community evolved during the 20th century, so too did the organizations created to ensure our economic vitality and quality of life. The creation of the Greater Sandusky Partnership (GSP) and the launch of our 2025-2029 strategic plan represent the continued evolution of our organization and our region to address 21st-century challenges and opportunities. We are building on the work of the Erie County Chamber of Commerce, Erie County Economic Development Corp., the Huron Chamber of Commerce, Firelands Forward and countless community leaders over the course of the past 125 years. The integration of multiple organizations into one strong organization eliminates confusion, reduces inefficiencies and provides a greater return on investment for our membership and funders. A unified GSP will drive growth while preserving and celebrating the character of the vibrant communities that define our region. Our vision is that we are a premier Great Lakes region, blending diverse industries, vibrant communities and a thriving destination economy. The accompanying flywheel is a visual demonstration of our mission and vision. As a chamber, we will engage the business community and collaborate across sectors to align resources in support of a shared vision for sustainable growth. As a regional organization, we will have a stronger voice in Columbus and Washington. A regional footprint also creates opportunities for scaled economic development and workforce programs that strengthen companies, communities and partner organizations in adjacent counties.
