Cats available for adoption

FISH — Sweet Fish is a 2-year-old all gray female and she is wonderful. Fish has watched all of her babies be adopted and she is still waiting patiently. She is an outgoing social butterfly and nothing ruffles her feathers. She is laid back, all she likes is some attention, a cozy bed and a bright sunny window to make her a happy girl. Fish deserves the best and we are determined to find it for her. CHECKERS — Officially long-term this handsome tuxedo is a 1 1/2-year-old male and he loves everyone. He is a quiet, sweet little man who loves to explore and play with the other cats. Checkers is a silly boy who enjoys feathery toys, a big cat tree to climb on and chin scratches until he falls asleep. Checkers has been with us 189 days and we want to find his forever. SCOTCH — The big handsome fellow is a 5-year-old male tabby and white. This big guy is cool and confident. He is a big foodie so he loves trying new treats and stinky wet food. He is outgoing, friendly and loves humans. He tolerates other cats but he would do just fine as an only feline because he loves all the attention. Scotch really loves big sunny windows so he can watch the squirrels run by. This guy is growing up fast and would love to find his forever home. MINI LOP — This cutie is a 23-week-old female tabby and she is so playful. Mini loves toys, other cats, dogs and people. She is easy going, laid back and has typical kitten energy. She loves to explore and climb so she would love an active home with a big cat tree to play on. BERTHA — Our Bertha is another long-term, she is a 1 1/2-year-old female calico and she is so silly. Usually you'll find her burrowed under her favorite bed, or playing hide and seek with her toys. She is outgoing, goofy and a whole lot of fun. Bertha will make you laugh every day with her shenanigans, all in good fun. She has been with us 186 days and is ready to find her forever. The Humane Society, 1911 Superior St., Sandusky, offers animals for adoption. The shelter is open by appointment six days a week, Monday through Saturday, so please call ahead. Normal adoption fees are: Cats under one year old and younger, $100, cats over a year old, $80; adoption fees for dogs/puppies vary. The fees include spaying/neutering, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, heartworm/FeLV negative and flea treated. For information call 419-626-6220.
