Business wants to return sobriety token

PERKINS TWP. — A local business wants to find a person who accidentally dropped a mark of their sobriety and return it to them. Someone using the vacuums at the WhiteWater Car Wash on Milan Road (U.S. 250) sometime between Sept. 25-28 dropped their 10-month sobriety token, general manager Joe Agan posted online. Agan posted a picture of the token, which he had cleaned and disinfected, along with a message to the person who earned it. "To some, it's just a token. But, to others, it's an important physical reminder of how far they've come," he said. He said he was proud of the token owner's sobriety and that he wanted to find that person so that a pickup could be arranged. "As a son, sibling, nephew, cousin, and friend to many that are in recovery themselves or have lost their battle with this awful disease, I know how important this is to someone," Agan said. "Please reach out to me privately if this belongs to you so I may return it. You have my word that your anonymity will be respected and honored." Those who might know the owner — or are the owner — can find Agan's post in the "What's Going on in Sandusky" Facebook group.
