School Notes: Sandusky Rotary, Huron, Margaretta and Port Clinton schools

These students were recognized at a recent board meeting for honesty they showed in January. The students will also receive four tickets to Cedar Point courtesy of Coca-Cola Bottling Company consolidated. Bataan Memorial Primary student art work will be on display in Columbus. PORT CLINTON • Artwork by Bataan Memorial Primary students Joseph Campbell and Nayellie Fritz was selected to be displayed in the Youth Art Month and the Young Peoples Art exhibitions from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 16 through March 23 in Columbus. Campbell's artwork is displayed at the State Teacher's Retirement Systems building, while Fritz's artwork is displayed at the Rhodes State Office Tower. Campbell's artwork was uploaded to Artsonia, a national online student art gallery. Port Clinton High School's DECA team competed at Bowling Green State University in a district competition. Several PCHS students qualified for state competition in March.• Last month, Port Clinton High School's DECA program competed at Bowling Green State University and multiple students qualified for the state competition in Columbus next month. She volunteers for the Clothe-A-Child program, American Red Cross blood drive and the Wounded Warrior Project. Riggs plans on attending college to study veterinary science.Civista Banking CompanyAndrea Strause, the daughter of Alan and Andrea Strause, is involved in student government, Students Against Drunk Driving, National Honor Society, leadership class, volleyball and swimming. She is a member of the Erie County Youth Advisory Council.
