Group surpasses $1M in funds

Smith Financial Group recently announced that, through its unwavering support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the firm has surpassed the $1 million mark in funds raised since 2017. This year alone, the company's annual charity event — Wish Upon a Star: A Night of Hope and Wishes — raised more than $370,000 net of event costs, contributing to the granting of 37 wishes for children in Ohio. The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a nonprofit that helps fulfill the wishes of seriously ill children. During the past seven years, "W.A. Smith Financial Group has been dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of children facing critical illnesses," according to a company statement. To date, the group's efforts have helped grant 100 wishes, bringing hope, strength and joy to these children and their families during challenging times. "Our success is a true testament to the power of community and generosity," said William "Bill" Smith, the group's CEO and founder. "Each year, I am amazed by the support we receive from our sponsors, donors and volunteers. The joy we bring to these children through the granting of their wishes is immeasurable, and we are honored to be a part of this incredible mission."
