An amazing opening for Art Jordan

SANDUSKY — Many people congratulated Jordan Evans after he recently opened his new art and design studio, known as Art Jordan Design Studios, located at 236 Wayne St., in downtown Sandusky. "Be on the lookout for great things to come from this studio and welcome home Jordan," according to a statement from Destination Sandusky, which had representatives on-site to commemorate this occasion. For several years now, Evans has found great success in marketing his art and forging forward with his talent. It's occurred through his "Art Jordan" brand. Evans, a 2008 Sandusky High School graduate, is a renowned artist. Earlier this year, he released a book he wrote and illustrated known as "Hoggie's World: Just a Kid, a Canvas and a Dream." Most notably, in 2022, ESPN's "College GameDay" — the country's top-rated pregame college football show and viewed by millions each week it airs — featured Evans' artwork during its programming. He's also received commissions for various projects in and around Sandusky. This would include him creating Black history artwork for Sandusky Transit bus stops. A new studio can help further his ambitions for artwork, creating even more pieces through various mediums, while better representing his hometown. "With Sandusky's growth, there's tremendous potential for collaboration, and I'm eager to play my part," Evans said.
