Crash on Kelleys injures 3

KELLEYS ISLAND — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a serious rollover crash involving a golf cart that took place just before 7 p.m. Friday on Kelleys Island. It occurred on Division Street near Titus Road in the village. A report details what allegedly occurred: • The crash involved a 2017 EZGO golf cart operated by a Clyde woman, 27. • The golf cart was traveling northeast on Division Street when the driver lost control, traveled off the right side of the road and rolled into nearby trees. • The impact resulted in the driver and her two passengers — two women from Sandusky, 21 and 25 — being ejected from the vehicle. • Each person sustained some degree of serious injuries with one being taken, by helicopter, to a Toledo-area hospital, and the two passengers, also by helicopter, were taken to a Cleveland-area hospital. The report didn't get into specifics regarding injuries, and no conditions were known. The crash remains under investigation.
