PERKINS TWP. — When asked if he wanted to pursue upgrades, ensuring his longtime local business remains in the area — without hesitation — he said, "I do." Jeff Goretzki, who owns Rock & Roll Express Entertainment Co., recently finished a complete top-to-bottom renovation at his business base: 2419 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, by Eats N' Treats. This represents the office's biggest transformation since Goretzki moved Rock & Roll to this storefront plaza about 12 years ago. Goretzki, meanwhile, started the business nearly 40 years ago. Revamping the office signifies a renewed commitment to providing Rock & Roll's core offerings, Goretzki said. The company provides disc jockeys, emcees and many services for weddings, company outings, corporate events, schools, fundraisers and more. "We are a full-service production company and offer event management, professional sound and video, photo booths, casino events and many other entertainment services," said Goretzki, noting his company has hosted thousands of events in and around the community. "We work with our clients, planning the very best, event maintaining a fair price and top-tier service." Goretzki spoke more about the upgrades: Q: Why was modernizing the office necessary? JG: We moved into our current location in 2012. The space was a large rectangle with no separating walls or workspace whatsoever. We made a sizeable investment and transformed that space in our business office where we have had 12 amazing years of growth and events. The transition from a business office to an entertainment office has been spectacular. Q: What do these upgrades signify in terms of your long-term committment to the business and location? JG: We transformed our business office into a beautiful entertainment office. Our business has experienced amazing growth over the past 10 years. When it was time for an upgrade, we contemplated looking for a new location or a complete refresh or our current location. Our current location in Perkins Township has been ideal for us, so we decided to stay in our current location and do a complete remodel. Our new entertainment office is beautiful and will host many visitors planning weddings and events in and around our area. We are community-focused and love being a part of and doing events in this great community. In fact, most of the audio equipment we purchase — speakers, microphones, mixers and cables — is purchased locally, keeping money in our community. We also love working with the people that live here: our neighbors. Q: What impression do you want to give to people when they first walk into this newly remodeled office? JG: We are an award-winning entertainment company with roots in our community since 1986. We want our clients to feel our passion, commitment and sincerity for their event. We want them to know that we will make sure their event in the most important event we are doing.
